Using Tank readings is a great solution if you need to record many data points at once and will be doing so from the web browser.
First you have to set up the tanks you will be recording data for:
- Click on Metrics tab.
- Click on Tanks in the sub-header.
- Click on the +Add Tank button on the right hand side.
- Enter a name and total volume capacity for the tank.
- Check the boxes next to the zones that the tank is associated with.
- Click Save.
Next, confirm the tank readings you want to record:
- Click on the Metrics tab.
- Click on Tanks in the sub-header.
- Click the Edit Tank Metrics button to set the specific metrics that you want to record.
Last, you are ready to add and edit tank readings:
- Click on Metrics tab.
- Click on the +Tank Reading button on the right hand side.
- In the Tank dropdown, select a tank for which the recording was taken.
- Use the Recorded At calendar to select a date
- In the Amount column, enter the reading for the measurements you’d like to store.
- Click Save.
- Once saved, you can scroll down and view any recording on the right side menu. Clicking into a specific day and tank will show that reading and allowing the user to edit as necessary.
If you need to schedule out tank readings or users will only be recording readings from a mobile phone, consider using Metrics.
