Creating a New Report

Creating a New Report in LUNA CMP is easy. 

Step 1: Navigate to the Reports tab 

Step 2: Click the green + New Report button in the upper right hand corner  

Step 3: Name your report. This automatically updates the name of the report tab as well

Step 4: From there, click the blue + Add Chart button to begin adding charts. A side Edit Chart modal will appear after

Step 5: Name* your chart

Step 6: Select a Date Range and a Time Scale. The dropdown options for Time Scale includes:

  • By Day
  • By Month
  • By Year
  • None (Raw Data)

Step 7: Select a Chart Type. The dropdown options includes:

  • Stacked Columns
  • Line Graph
  • Area Chart
  • Stacked Columns (horizontal graph)

Step 8: Select Data Type. The dropdown includes Crops and Metrics

Data type categories: (see definitions below)

  1. Yield
  2. Loss
  3. Zone Utilization
  4. Metrics

Step 9: Select + Add Grouping or + Add Filter if needed for your chart

Group by Options:

  • crop
  • crop variety
  • batch unit
  • plant site unit
  • generated output (resource unit)
  • stage
  • sub stage
  • user (name)
  • zone
  • sub zone
Filter options:
  • crop
  • crop variety
  • batch unit
  • generated output (resource unit)
  • stage
  • sub stage
  • user (name)
  • zone
  • sub zone

From there, continue to add as many charts as you like.

  • You can edit any chart by clicking the ...Options button in the upper right hand corner of each chart and selecting Edit Chart.
  • When finished, the report dashboard will be available to all users who have access to the facility within LUNA CMP.
  • If you'd like to share your chart, you can export each chart as .CSV or .PNG by clicking the ...Options button on each chart or you can Print by using File > Print from your browser menu. Check out the Sharing Report Dashboards and Charts article. 

Data type definitions

A. Yield metrics

 

  1. Yield in batch units: Yield (harvest action) quantity expressed in batch units 
    • Sum: Sum of harvested batch units quantity
    • Cumulative: Cumulative Sum of harvested batch units quantity
    • Average: Average daily harvested batch units quantity
  2. Yield in plant sites: Yield (harvest action) quantity expressed in plant sites 
    • Sum: Sum of harvested plant sites quantity
    • Cumulative: Cumulative Sum of harvested plant sites quantity
    • Average: Average daily harvested plant sites quantity

  3. Yield in generated outputs: Yield (harvest action) quantity expressed in generated output unit (also called a resource unit - inputs and outputs)

    • Sum: Sum of harvested generated output units quantity
    • Cumulative: Cumulative Sum of harvested generated output units quantity
    • Average: Average daily harvested generated output units quantity

  4. Yield in generated outputs per batch unit: Yield (harvest action) rate expressed in generated output units (resource unit) per harvested batch unit. This is the generated output units quantity divided by the harvested batch units quantity

    • Sum: Sum of generated output unit quantity per harvested batch unit
    • Cumulative: Cumulative Sum of generated output unit quantity per harvested batch unit
    • Average: Average daily generated output unit quantity per harvested batch unit

  5. Yield in generated outputs per plant site: Yield (harvest action) rate expressed in generated output unit (resource unit) per harvested plant site. This is the generated output units quantity divided by the harvested plant sites quantity.

    • Sum: Sum of generated output unit quantity per harvested plant site
    • Cumulative: Cumulative Sum of generated output unit quantity per harvested plant site
    • Average: Average daily generated output unit quantity per harvested plant site

B. Loss metrics

  1. Loss in batch units: Lost (discard action) quantity expressed in batch units 

    • Sum: Sum of discarded batch units quantity
    • Cumulative: Cumulative Sum of discarded batch units quantity
    • Average: Average daily discarded batch units quantity
  2. Loss in plant sites: Lost (discard action) quantity expressed in plant sites 
    • Sum: Sum of discarded plant sites quantity
    • Cumulative: Cumulative Sum of discarded plant sites quantity
    • Average: Average daily discarded plant sites quantity
  3. Loss Rate in %: Percentage of lost (discard action) batch unit quantity out of the relative start/seeded batch unit quantity. It’s expressed in %. The loss in batch units are the numerator and the start batch unit quantity is the denominator. 
    • Sum: Sum of discarded batch unit quantity divided by the maximum Start batch units quantity
    • Cumulative: Cumulative Sum of discarded batch unit quantity divided by the maximum Start batch units quantity
    • Average: Average sum of discarded batch unit quantity divided by the maximum Start batch units quantity
  4. Start quantity in batch units: Start quantity expressed in batch units (seeding unit in our database). This is the denominator of the loss rate.
    1. Sum: Sum of maximum Start batch units quantity
    2. Cumulative: Cumulative Sum of maximum Start batch units quantity
    3. Average: Average maximum Start batch units quantity

  5. Start quantity in plant sites: Start quantity expressed in plant sites

    • Sum: Sum of maximum Start/Seeded plant sites quantity
    • Cumulative: Cumulative Sum of maximum Start/Seeded plant sites quantity
    • Average: Average maximum Start/Seeded plant sites quantity

C. Zone Utilization metrics

  1. Daily Zone Utilization in batch units: Daily batch quantity located in a specific zone expressed in batch units 
    • Sum: Sum of daily batch units quantity located in a zone
    • Cumulative: Cumulative Sum of daily batch units quantity located in a zone
    • Average: Average daily batch units quantity located in a zone
  2. Daily Zone Utilization in area units: Daily batch quantity located in a specific zone expressed it’s facility’s area unit (area/size of related batch unit in LUNA CMP)
    • Sum: Sum of daily area units used by batches in a zone
    • Cumulative: Cumulative Sum of daily area units used by batches in a zone
    • Average: Average daily area units used by batches in a zone
  3. Daily Zone Utilization in plant sites: Daily batch quantity located in a specific zone expressed in plant sites 
    • Sum: Sum of daily plant site quantity located in a zone
    • Cumulative: Cumulative Sum of daily plant site quantity located in a zone
    • Average: Average daily plant site quantity located in a zone
  4. Daily Zone Utilization rate: Daily % of a zone capacity used by the batches located in it. It’s the ratio between the daily batch quantity located in a specific zone expressed in batch units and the related zone daily capacity expressed in batch units.
    • Sum: Sum of daily batch quantity in a zone divided by the zone’s daily batch units capacity 
    • Cumulative: Cumulative Sum of daily batch quantity in a zone divided by the zone’s daily batch units capacity 
    • Average: Average daily batch quantity in a zone divided by the zone’s daily batch units capacity 
  5. Daily Zone Capacity in batch units: Daily zone capacity expressed in batch units 
    • Sum: Sum of daily zone capacity expressed in batch units
    • Cumulative: Cumulative Sum of daily zone capacity expressed in batch units
    • Average: Average daily zone capacity expressed in batch units
  6. Daily Zone Capacity in plant sites: Daily zone capacity expressed in plant sites (secondary seeding unit in our database)
    • Sum: Sum of daily zone capacity expressed in plant sites
    • Cumulative: Cumulative Sum of daily zone capacity expressed in plant sites
    • Average: Average daily zone capacity expressed in plant sites
