There are two ways to record a harvest. The first is by navigating to the Production tab, finding the batch that you want to record a harvest on, and clicking into the batch details. The second way is to complete the harvest task in the Tasks tab.
Harvesting/Finishing batches from a Batch page:
Step 1: To harvest a batch, select the green Harvest/Finish button
A pop-up screen for the Harvest/Finish will appear. Proceed to Filling out the Harvest/Finish modal below.
Harvesting/Finishing batches from the Task list:
Step 1: Check off the Harvest/Finish task
A pop-up screen for the Harvest/Finish will appear. Proceed to Filling out the Harvest/Finish modal below.
Filling out the Harvest/Finishing modal:
Step 1: Select the Harvest/Finish Type (Complete, Partial, or Cut and Come Again) from the drop down list
- Complete harvests will represent the end of a batch and you're removing the product from the active growth stage.
- Partial harvesting a batch is used when you want to record a harvest for portion of a batch. For example, if a batch has been seeded/started with a seeding unit containing 100 plants, a user can harvest 30 plants.
- Cut and Come Again harvest is used when the plant continually produces output, but isn't actually removed from the active growth stage, like herbs, peppers, or tomatoes.
Step 2: Record the Quantity Harvested/Finished.
Step 3: Will only appear for Partial Harvest! Insert the total number of batch units remaining under Amount Remaining
Step 4: (OPTIONAL) Add a Harvest/Finish Note to track additional information about the harvest
Step 5: Insert the date that the batch was Harvested/Finished
Step 6: Click the green Harvest/Finish button to complete the harvest
Important Note: The final harvest/finish on any batch should be a Complete Harvest Type. If you add a Partial harvest or a Cut and Come Again harvest, make sure there is also a Complete Harvest task at the end of the batch.
